Auto Promotion Manual
Pre-requisites for auto promotion :
1. Initialization of both the class (from previous to next class)
2. Default Fee structure and installment due dates for the next class
Path : 1. Initialization → 6. Fees → 6. Fee Installments → Set installment due dates , Set Class Default Fee Structure
3. Checking Admission Confirmation with Fee and Link Prev. Class Subject Profile.
Path : 1. Initialization → 1.1. Stream - Course - Class - Sem- Div → 1. Map Stream - Course - Class → 2. Change
Check these two fields should be ”Yes”.
1.Admission Confirmation with Fee ?
2.Link Prev. Class Subject Profile.
4. :- Checking Default Qualification for Promotion
Path :
Initialization → 1.1. Stream - Course - Class - Sem- Div → 1. Map Stream - Course - Class → 5. Change (Initialize)

Check for the “Yes” filed in default qualification for promotion.
Follow the below steps for auto-promotion :-
Step 1 :- Subject Profile Mapping
Path :
Initialization → 5. Subject → 4. Class to class to Subject profile name → Add

Map previous year subject profile to next year subject profile
Step 2 :- Fee Structure Mapping
Path :
Initialization → 6. Fees → 10. Map Class to class Fee structure → 1.Add

Map previous year fee structure to next year fee structure
Step 3 :- Exam Result Add
Path :
4. Admission → 1. Provisional Admission → 1. Add → 7. Exam Result → 1. Add
Select Admitted Academic Year, Class name and Result Academic Year ,
Insert the “Pass” or “Fail” entries in the final result section.
Step 4 :- Changing Eligibility Promoting Year to current year
Path :
4. Admission → 1. Provisional Admission → 1. Add → 7. Exam Result → 3. Change (Bulk)
Change the Eligibility promoting year to the year you want the class students to be promoted too(current year or next year)
Step 5 :- Auto - promotion
Path :
4.Admission → 1.Provisional Admission → 1.Add → 9.Promotion → 6.Auto Promotion
Use the Start Promotion option and then wait for the system to promote all the eligible students to the next promoted class. (List of students will be displayed on this form)
After completing the above steps in EMIS, proceed for Post Admission Activity in myaccount portal
Step 1 : Navigate to https://myaccount.somaiya.edu/#/app/employee/profile/
Step 2 : Click "Admission"
Step 3 : - Click "Post Admission Processes"
Step 4 : Click "Configurations"
Step 5 : Click Menu config : -
Step 6 : Add these four menu from Add option in the menu configuration page from ADD new menu option on right hand side
Step 7 : ADD new post admission process dates in Post Admission Process → Configuration → Post Admission process init → Add new process on right hand upper corner
Select the fields as required
Step 8 : Assign the students to Post Admission process, select the required data and then pick students either manually or import the file of student with the upload file option present,
In this way you will assign the post- admission activity to the students.
