type wise quantities to be issued and number of days to issue with library late fine configurations also we can define when student/staff can borrow & return or reserve the books..etc.

Using library Policy librarian can define circulation policy (Number of days, in case of overdue whether fine exists or not etc). Fine & Reservation policy which can be used for Fine calculation and reserving the book by staff and student.
3.3.2 Defining Global Policy
Using GCC policy staff/students can borrow book from any somaiya library as per GCC policy, this is very useful for staff/student to borrow books from other libraries of Somaiya Campus
3.3.3 Book Renewal Policy
Using this policy librarians can define the book renewal process, using this staff/student can renew their books as per the policy and can keep books with themselves for a longer period.
Book Renewal can be done via
Self-renewal: Students can self-renew the borrowed books based on renewal settings.
Auto renewal: Books renewal automatically extend for certain period for a particular student without taking any action by student or staff subject to specific title not in demand
Reservation/Demand: If the required title is not available in the library, members can reserve or put in a demand request. System will allow to issue the books based on the queue system.
3.3.4 Defining Holiday/Week Off policy
This policy defines Holiday/Weekly Off in software so in case of holiday or week off book circulation can be continued.
System will not consider these defined holidays or weekly off as due dates. Even while book return, system excludes holidays/weekly offs for late fine calculation

6.0 Self Check KIOSK - RFID Based Library Management System
KIOSK System
In 2018-19 library introduced KIOSK system where students/faculty/ staff can self issue, return, renew the book on their own in the library itself. The action buttons show the processes using kiosk, including check out (Issue), Renew, Check in (Return) and Account summary.
Procedure is as follows:
For self-issue, return, renew I-Card is necessary. Members can do these functions through their SVV Net Id also.
For this they must select the options given on screen. i.e issue, return, and renew
Then they must do authentication by using their I-Card or by using SVV Net Id and password.
After successful authentication the user put the books on scan bed which is right side of the screen)
The system will automatically return, issue or renew the books, i.e as per the option selected by the students.
Once the row goes green, the option is clicked. The screen navigates three options, i.e Print receipt, Email Receipt and No Receipt. We recommend always referring to the Email Receipt option to save paper wastage.

About OPAC-
OPAC also known as Online Public Access Catalog is an online database library books, magazines, e- books or group of libraries combined.
To use OPAC, the student must go to the library link online and then click on OPAC.
The students are given credentials to access the library system which can be used.
Students can search books using Title, authors, keyword, publisher, publishing year, classification number, subject, accession number or ISBN etc
The search will give information of book's location in the library. The students can use its features of reserve and borrow for further operations
Using Opac Student/Staff can
1.Reserve “on demand book” so when it will be available students will get alert and get the book
Members can only reserve the book in case the desired book is not available in the library (issued to other members). Once the reserved book is back into the library, the system will send notification through an email to the reserved member. FIFO system is followed for reserved books circulation. The system will also notify through email, the borrowed members to return the book on or before the due date.
2.Self Renewal -
